Victor Wanyama, Vincent Janssen and Eric Dier are all ruled out for the home side, though the latter is back in training and will look to be available over the coming days.
Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen missed the 7-0 win at Tranmere, but are back in training too, but Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed neither will play.
Erik Lamela sat out Friday’s FA Cup triumph due illness and will hope to be available for Mauricio Pochettino here and that would serve as a boost for Spurs, particularly with Lucas Moura ruled out with a knee issue.

Tottenham booked their place in the next round of the FA Cup with a resounding 7-0 win at Tranmere and they will hope to put one foot in the Carabao Cup final when they host Chelsea on Tuesday. Spurs were excellent in their 3-1 win over Chelsea at Wembley back in November and Mauricio Pochettino will hope for a repeat performance.
Chelsea are unbeaten in their last four, winning three, after a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Leicester last month dented their league progress, but they too secure a fourth round FA Cup spot at the weekend. The Blues have now won only one of their last six away meetings with Tottenham, but come into this London clash on the back of three successive away wins.
That being said, Tottenham, with eight wins from their last 10, will be confident of gaining a first leg advantage.
