Everton need a win tonight after having only one point from the opening two games in this tournament. They host tonight a talented Lyon side, that managed to draw twice by the score of 1-1, so they also need more than one point here to feel comfortable in this group E. Ronald Koeman has had a lot of problems lately and we don’t think he would be able to rise from the dead and save himself the manager post. Even if he manages to win tonight, his side is facing Arsenal on the weekend. Niasse, Barkley, Coleman, Bolasie, Funes Mori, Lennon and McCarthy are all injured or not match fit enough.
Lyon also haven’t had the best start of the season. However, they lost once in last six games and had won against Monaco, having 7 over 2.5 goal lines covered last 9 games. Only missing player might be Traoré, but he is going to be replaced by Depay who has had an impressive game last weekend.
Both teams have never met before, so there isn’t a history between them and we can expect a straight win for either side. However, taking Home or Away win looks too risky at the moment and we find value in searching for goals. Expect attacking football, open to counter attacks and goals!
