Both Napoli and Genoa’s last games in the domestic leagued ended in goalless draws. The home team are currently one spot ahead of the relegation zone but only thanks to their goal scored/conceded ratio.
We expect Napoli to return to scoring a lot of goals while their defense still seems quite incapable of keeping the other team from scoring mainly due to the aggressive and attacking football the team from Naples are demonstrating.
Genoa’s results at home clearly show they play much better against big teams on their own turf rather than smaller clubs.
Surprisingly, last season, Genoa lost against weaker teams at home but were able to win against giants Juventus and Milan. During this season the team from Genoa were able to score twice against Lazio and champions Juventus even though they lost both games.
Napoli has lately been trying to improve their defense but still are conceding often goals. They’ve won 4 of their last 6 games against Genoa. 3 of these games ended with at least 3 goals scored.
We’ve received information that Genoa’s goalscorer Andrey Galabinov will be benched while Gianluca Lapadula will be starting.
While Napoli only has Arkadiusz Milik out injured.
By tradition, Napoli is one of the highest goal scoring away teams in Italy. They’ve scored 14 goals in 5 away games and were not able to score more than 3 goals only when visiting Roma.
