Leipzig have started this year’s campaign in the German Bundesliga quite well, currently being third in the standings. A point away from Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. They will, once again, be fighting for a Champion’s League spot.
Bayern, on the other hand, have been reborn under the leadership of legend Jupp Heynckes. Winning three games in a row with a goal ration of 9 scored and 0 conceded.
In the first round of the German Cup, Leipzig won with 5:0 small club SPFR Dorfmerkingen. Bayern also won with 5:0 in their first round in the cup against Chemnitzer.
The Bavarian grand has always taken serious the German Cup tournament so we can be expecting Heynckes to play with his best players at “Red Bull Arena” in Leipzig. The same is expected from the home team of RB Leipzig.
